You may have noticed things look different around here. Healthline Media is carrying on Psych Central’s 25-year legacy of providing trusted, reliable mental health resources online. As part of that transition, we’ve changed the look of our emails and our site.

In January, I proudly took on the role of Editor in Chief. Since then, our new team of incredible editors has hit the ground running. We take our responsibility to you and this platform very seriously. To that end, there are a few things I want you to know:

  • You are safe here. The core of my mission for Psych Central is to create a safe space for you. All of our health content is reviewed by Healthline’s exceptional team of medical professionals to ensure the information we provide is accurate. We also follow thoughtful conscious language guidance, so our content is inclusive and destigmatizing. We want to amplify the voices of folks who are often unheard. We strive to shine light on issues that are often unseen.
  • We are a work in progress. It’s not easy migrating 25 years of coverage to an all new platform! Bear with us as we update our older content and make way for new articles to come. We want to get this right! In the meantime, if you see anything that looks a little wonky, feel free to have a laugh at our expense. We laugh at ourselves, too. (If you have time, you can also shoot us an email to let us know about our mistake.)
  • We want to hear from you. We want you to find what you need in our content. We are here to listen and learn. If there’s something you’d like to read about on Psych Central, or you have a story you’d like to share, let us know

We’re thrilled to begin the journey toward the next 25 years of Psych Central.

Thanks in advance for sharing your personal stories and feedback with us,

Faye McCray
